The Ford Fiesta ST remains a hugely popular and class-leading hot hatch, and like many, we will be sad to see the Fiesta line axed by Ford next year.
In one last hurrah, Ford decided to update the Fiesta with the MK8.5 Facelift, which included updated body styling, a Quaife LSD as standard and some other tweaks along the way. With the Fiesta seemingly making way for the Puma, Ford also decided to update the lower torque mount to match the Puma ST.
And so this week, we are releasing PFF19-2227 Lower Torque Mount Large Bush Insert to accompany the previously introduced, range-topping PFF19-2226 Torque Mount.
Made in our softer Red 65A durometer material in consideration of Ford’s 3-Cylinder engine, it is a cost-effective and easy-to-fit insert, designed to sharpen throttle response and add more precision to gear changes; whilst reducing wheel-hop and improving the durability and longevity of the OE mount.
This part is also available in our Black Series 95A durometer material for a no-compromise track/motorsport option.
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
